Product roadmap — what we're building together

Alzheimer.App is growing step by step into more than a chatbot. These are the next steps on the roadmap. We design and test this together with people with dementia, caregivers and care professionals — share your thoughts via the chat.

  1. Making the login experience feel like part of the site — Signing in and registering already works, but it should feel like a real part of Alzheimer.App: matching look and feel, and the language you'd just chosen on the site.
  2. Building a personal profile — A profile with background, behavior, interests and life story of the person with dementia, built up in small steps, editable and removable. We're designing and testing the actual questions together with people with dementia, caregivers and care professionals.
  3. Letting loved ones and care professionals contribute — Invite others to enrich the profile in a controlled way, with clear agreements on who can see or change what, and the ability to revoke access again.
  4. Building a memory — Safely remembering previous conversations and information so not every question starts from zero, with full insight into and control over what's remembered.
  5. Personalized advice — Personal, practical advice based on the profile and history, clearly recognizable as "personalized" versus general advice — always within the line: no medical advice where that isn't responsible.
  6. Multiple profiles for care teams — Care professionals working with multiple clients (for example in home care or on a care ward) will be able to safely switch between profiles, with roles and permissions that fit their role.
  7. Connecting with existing software — A secure API that lets other apps and electronic health records (EHRs) make controlled use of Alzheimer.App.
  8. A platform for external devices and apps — Think sensors, smart lighting, a pill dispenser or a calendar app — connected in a controlled way, with explicit consent per connection.
  9. Part of daily life — Exploring how Alzheimer.App can contribute to daytime activities and independent living, tested and validated together with people with dementia, caregivers and care professionals.
Sensor data research (with Let Things Talk) — In parallel, we're researching together with end users and care professionals how sensor data (such as from Let Things Talk) can provide meaningful, reliable signals — for example about daily rhythm or restlessness — without a measurement automatically being treated as a medical conclusion. This happens through joint design, controlled tests and a real-world pilot.
