From the home screen you can ask a question about caring for people with dementia without an account.

The question is forwarded anonymously to a secure European server environment provided by Microsoft Azure (data centers within the European Union).

There, an AI model processes the question and enriches it with up-to-date care knowledge specifically tailored to dementia care.

All processing takes place within the EU, so the app complies with the requirements of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

The app then shows practical tips that fit the situation of the person with dementia.

Users can give feedback (thumbs up/down) to continuously improve the quality of the answers.

The chat history is stored exclusively locally on your device. No account registration is required.

Using the microphone, you can also speak your question; the app automatically converts it to text and then provides an answer.

These terms apply to all users of Alzheimer.App.

By installing or using the app, you agree to these terms and confirm that you are at least 16 years old, or have permission from your parent/guardian.

You may only use the app for non-commercial and informational purposes.

An account is not required.

The app is not a medical device: it offers general information and tips, but does not replace a diagnosis or treatment by a doctor.

Always use the advice in consultation with care professionals.

The answers are automatically generated using AI.

Processing takes place exclusively on secure Microsoft Azure servers within the European Union.

No conversations, questions or personal data are stored or shared outside Europe.

Although we take the utmost care regarding quality and reliability, we cannot guarantee that all answers are complete or correct.

Alzheimer.App BV accepts no liability for damages resulting from reliance on these answers or use of the app.

You remain responsible for decisions regarding the care of someone with dementia.

Any errors or inaccuracies can be reported via info@alzheimer.app.

All rights to the app – including software, texts, logos and design – belong to Alzheimer.App BV or its licensors.

The content of the app, including knowledge modules, texts and advice, is protected by copyright and trademark law.

You may not copy, distribute, sell, reproduce or translate any parts of the app or the information used without prior written permission from the rights holder(s).

Use of the app does not grant a license to the methods or content used therein.

You agree to:

• not use the app for illegal, discriminatory or misleading purposes;
• not share confidential or medical information about third parties without their consent;
• respect the intellectual property of Alzheimer.App BV and other rights holders;
• not distribute malware or attempt to hack the app;
• follow the privacy statement.

Alzheimer.App BV may temporarily or permanently deny users access in case of misuse or violation of these terms.

You may stop using the app at any time by deleting it. Feedback and any stored data will then be deleted in accordance with the privacy statement.

These terms may be amended from time to time. The most recent version is always available in the app and on our website.

These terms are governed by Dutch law.

Disputes will be submitted to the Zeeland-West-Brabant District Court (Breda location).

If a provision proves invalid, the remaining provisions remain fully in force.
